I am so excited for the 2017-2018 school year!

I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.  As an educator, It is my desire to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas.  It is our vision, as a district, to inspire and equip students to be life-long learners and positive contributors to the world and to provide superior education for every student.

I attended Texas State University and I am certified to teach Early Childhood Education Pre-K through sixth grade.  I began my teaching career in San Antonio where I taught third grade for 4 years and second grade for a year.  My husband and I decided to make the move to Dripping Springs where he grew up and went to school.  I love the community of DS and was excited for this new change.  I taught third grade for six years at DSES and then worked for a year as a part time interventionist while my two little girls were babies. After that year, I decided to pursue a certification in Special Education and then taught in the resource classroom for a year at DSES teaching third through fifth grade full time.  I decided to take all that I had learned and my experiences in intervention over those years and go back to teaching third grade once again.  I taught third grade for three more years.

After having my own children recently go through the Pre-K program, I was reaffirmed of the importance of a strong educational foundation.  Teaching Pre-K is where I felt led to be at this time in my life. This will be my 17th year of teaching and I look forward to the opportunity to partner with the parents this year to ensure success as your child begins this journey! I'm looking forward to a wonderful year!
